Cookery Course Booking Terms and Conditions
By booking on any of our courses you agree to abide by our terms and conditions.
Reservations and Payments
Upon receipt of the registration form and a non-refundable deposit of £200.00, a full confirmation of your booking on a Mountain Chef course will be made. We accept cheques, BACS payments, and paypal account payments for deposit payments, the balance must be paid by cheque or BACS only. Cheques should be made out to “Mountain Chefs Ltd” and posted to the address provided. BACS transfer information is provided when booking and we are able to accept paypal payments through the on-line payment process when booking.
Balance of all course fees is due four weeks prior to the start of the course and a reminder e-mail and invoice will be sent to you. If the balance of fees is not received by the due date, the reservation will be deemed to have been cancelled and the place will be offered to other prospective students.
If you wish to cancel your confirmed reservation, you must do so in writing by either e-mail or post. If you cancel within the four week period prior to the start of your course, you will be responsible for the full payment of the remaining course fees. We regret that the deposit is non-refundable even if you need to cancel your attendance.
Students are advised to take out their own cancellation insurance should they be concerned about the need to cancel for any reason.
We reserve the right to terminate the training of any student without reimbursement of fees if the student is found to be disruptive to other students and/or the instructors or is found to behave unlawfully in any way prior to or during the course. If you or we are forced to terminate your attendance during the course, your course fees will not be refunded to you.
Health & Safety
Excessive drinking and the use of illegal drugs are not permitted. We expect you to report and pay for any careless damages and breakages to Mountain Chefs equipment where appropriate. During the course, we advise you to wear lightweight clothing and ensure that long hair is tied back. We advise you to wear non-slip shoes and to ensure your toes are covered. Please advise us at the time of booking of any dietary requirements or food allergies you have.
Please inform us in advance of any allergies, disabilities, diabetes, pregnancy, epilepsy, learning difficulties etc.
Special dietary requirements, food allergies & illness:
We are unable to tailor our course content for special dietary requirements unless you are booking a minimum of 10 places on the course. However, we will be happy to discuss course content beforehand to allow you to make your own alternative eating arrangements if necessary. There is no reduction in fee in this instance.
If you are unsure as to your skill requirements for a course, please phone us so we can help ascertain your level of experience before booking. We rely on students being able to self assess their own skill level and are happy to assist with this but cannot be held liable if you book a course much higher or lower than your actual skill level.
We reserve the right to make any changes to our course materials, recipes and course dates, where necessary, at our discretion. All enrolled students will be notified immediately of any changes where relevant.
We will work with you to find a ski placement for the forth coming season however due to the number of variables involved in securing a role we are unable to guarentee a placement.
Upon sucessful completion of the Mountain Chef Course we will provide you with a completion certificate. Successful completion of a course is determined by the Instructors based on a minimum rate of attendance, learning progress and attitude. Certificates are issued at the descretion of the Instructors.
We accept no responsibility for any loss or damage to your personal property. Neither do we accept liability for personal injury except as imposed by statute.
Mountain Chefs Ltd is totally committed to protecting the privacy of our site visitors and customers. Mountain Chefs Ltd are customers themselves of other Internet sites and fully appreciate and respect the importance of privacy on the Internet.
Mountain Chefs Ltd do not store and will never store your financial details including your bank account details, credit card number or debit card number.
We will not rent or sell your name, address, e-mail address or personal information to any third party without your permission. If you have purchased from our website, subscribed to one of our newsletters and entered any of our competitions, or advised us of your e-mail address, post & telephone we may update you on news and special opportunities via e-mail.
We will retain student CV for a period of six months in order to assist with finding a placement. We will not hold student CV's after this time.
Copyright & Acceptable Usage
Full copyright of course content developed by Mountain Chef Cookery School is retained by the Cookery School. Course notes and reference materials are provided to support students in their studies and ongoing cookery development and is issued for personal use only. A lot of work has gone into the development of our course content and it has commercial value. The sharing of course materials by print, press, photocopy, email, blogs, internet or any digital transfer medium is strictly prohibited without the express written permission of Mountain Chef's Cookery School.
