This course is perfect for those who love people and want to work a ski season as a Chalet Host, a Kitchen Assistant or a Chalet Cook. This course will teach you about gourmet cuisine presentation and how to run a successful chalet.

We encourage those with a keen interest in meeting new people, mountain living and a desire to work with a good ski company to apply for this course. We will assess you and recommend you to the positions to which you are best suited and that will meet your needs in terms of location and size of company.

If you would like to spend a satisfying season, this course will ensure you have the proper kitchen and chalet operations training thereby giving you the confidence to secure a good job where you are able to perform well.

The Alpine Chalet Course - Sainte Foy

This year, we are pleased to offer our one week Chalet Chef Short Course in beautiful Ste Foy in the Isere Valley of the French Alps. If you are interested in combining your Chalet Chef Short Course with a beautiful stay in the mountains, then this course will be perfect for you.

The Ste Foy course is delivered by Dan Russell, Mountain Chefs Head Chef and takes place in a combination of commercial and chalet kitchens. The fee is £650.00 and includes the full Mountain Chefs Chalet Chef training and materials as well as luxury accommodation in conjunction with Venture Sun www.venturesun.co.uk

Chalet Chef Gourmet

The two and three week gourmet course is perfect for those who love to cook and would like to learn more about gourmet cuisine preparation and presentation. It is ideal for those seeking to obtain a Chalet Chef position for the ski season. The three week course simply provides more extensive practical gourmet training with more complicated dishes during the third week.

We recommend that 18 year old Gap Year students take our 2 week Chalet Chef course in order to gain the most thorough training thereby ensuring the best chance at gaining a Chalet Chef position for the season.

We encourage those with a keen interest in food and a desire to work with a good ski company to apply for this course. We will assess you and recommend you to the positions to which you are best suited and that will meet your needs in terms of location and size of company.

Spending a season as a Chalet Chef is very satisfying and provides you with many transferrable skills to be used life. Chalet Chefs usually enjoy the most time on the mountain due to working more standard hours than other resort staff.
